Recent news involving Lidia Thorpe has drawn attention due to her outspoken actions and strong opinions on various political matters. She recently heckled King Charles during his visit to Australia, declaring "you are not my king" and calling for a treaty between First Nations and the Australian government. Additionally, Thorpe has been active in supporting the Palestinian cause, addressing pro-Palestine rallies. Her actions have been controversial, including her criticism of compulsory income management policies, which she labeled as discriminatory and akin to "apartheid" for Indigenous Australians.
